U.S. Engineering performed the sheet metal scope of work for this BSL-3 lab research building, including detailing, coordination, fabrication and installation.
The above picture shows the interstitial level of ductwork and terminal boxes. Mechanical system components included Phoenix terminal boxes, HEPA bag-in and bag-out filters, stainless ductwork, custom isolation dampers, boiler flues, redundant exhaust fans, custom air handlers, custom exhaust stacks along with other special systems for the lab building.
This constant-volume system ensures the required positive and negative air relationships for occupant safety and research.
