Standing at four stories, with 172,000 square feet of research laboratories, clinical trial suites, offices and educational space, the University of Colorado at Denver’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences building will be the new centralized location for the School of Pharmacy. It will also be the first LEED®-certified building at the UCD Anschutz Medical Campus, with a target of Gold.
Mechanical highlights include four custom 80,000-CFM air handlers, four steam-to-water heat exchangers, a heat reclaim system, and main services being provided by the campus central plant.
Plumbing systems include a liquid nitrogen distribution system, lab casework with integral umbilicals, fume hoods, DI/RO generation and vacuum.
The HVAC system utilized our clean duct protocol while under construction to assure cleanliness, as well as other LEED® requirements. Air distribution is controlled by Siemens air valves, which operate with an airflow differential for lab zoning.
