U.S. Engineering Company was awarded this project through a bid/negotiate process. The dairy consists of a bulk milk receiving area, process area, packaging area, cold storage, administration and laboratory area. Heating and cooling is provided by (3) gas-fired rooftop units and (3) rooftop make-up air units. Steam for the milk processing is provided by (1) 500 H.P. high-pressure dual fuel boiler. Domestic cold water is double-filtered where it enters the building, and domestic hot water is provided by an atmospheric gas-fired water heater. Compressed air to operate the process controls is provided by a 498 SCFM oil-less compressor and refrigerated dryer.
