Saturn Automobile Assembly Plant
Spring Hill, Tennessee

The Saturn automobile manufacturing and assembly complex covers more than 6 million square feet on 2,450 acres on the historical Haynes Haven Stock Farm in Spring Hill, Tennessee. The complex has a complete assembly operation in a single location, including power train, vehicle systems, body systems, central utilities complex, and service parts operations. U.S. Engineering started at the site as the mechanical and piping contractor on the power train building in 1987, and followed with the VIS building, body fabrication shop, body panel press piping, paint circulation and mix room, paint application equipment, engine assembly equipment piping, conveyor piping, robotic installations, and miscellaneous work through 1991. Since the original installation, we have performed mechanical and piping for the warehouse, general assembly expansion, body systems expansion, CUC expansion, L850 power train expansion, conveyor piping, cam filtration and camshaft equipment piping, coolant piping, welder water piping, and complete paint shop refurbishment piping.

U.S. Engineering has been working continuously at the Saturn complex since 1987 with ongoing reimbursable and hard bid mechanical and piping work in most areas of the complex. Our present Tennessee division office and fabrication shop, built in 1997, is located just outside the complex in Spring Hill and continues to serve Saturn as well as a broad base of other middle Tennessee clients.
